1870 (23 Nov.) half of a Rainbow wrapper to Hankow with "via Marseilles pr French Packet", bearing G.B. 1867-80 6d. plate 8 and 10d. brown tied by London "103" duplex, paying the 1/4d. rate and, on the flap, Hong Kong transit c.d.s. with a good strike of Shanghai Local Post code "X" (13.1) in greenish blue. The original routing instructions have been crossed through and "pr 'Fire Queen' " added below. This was a boat belonging to the Shanghai Steam Navigation Company (the steamer agent for the Shanghai Local Post). Photo


1870年11月23日倫敦經法國寄漢口"彩虹"封套半個, 貼英國1867-80年6d.及10d.票, 銷倫敦"103"戳及倫敦日戳, 信件左上角註明"經由Marseilles的法國郵船"往香港, 蓋香港中轉日戳, 並經上海時蓋上1月13日海工部綠藍色"X"郵政號,封套上原本投寄的郵路遭劃改,並加了經"Fire Queen"號一句, 這船是屬於上海輪船公司(是上海工部的專屬輪船代理).
