1895 (9 Dec.) 2ca. card to Shanghai bearing Chungking oblong datestamp, similar for Ichang (17.12), Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. (24.12) and Shanghai postman's pencil notations; the reverse with another Ichang datestamp. The message is from Alicia Little with an order of provisions to be transferred by A.B. Rex, the agent of the Chungking Transport Company in Shanghai. Fine commercial usage. Photo

An intriguing card which utilised the Chungking local post, Ichang postal agency as well as the Ichang local post, Hamkow local post and finally Shanghai local post. Note the two differen Ichang postmarks, one with name at top, the other with the name at foot


1895年12月9日重慶寄上海銀二分郵資片, 銷紫色長方框型中英文日戳, 旁蓋一枚相似的紫色12月17日方框型宜昌信局中英文日戳, 及12月24日上海工部到達戳, 另郵差鉛筆記號; 片背蓋另一宜昌分局戳. 寄信人為利多爾( Archibald J. Little), 內容有關訂單由A.B. Rex 轉移的條款, 當時A.B.
