1895 (21 Dec.) opened-out envelope to London bearing 8ca. orange tied by the oblong Chungking datestamp with French "Chine" 25c. tied by "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s. (8.1) with a second strike alongside, additionally tied by a red transit c.d.s. The reverse bears a superb strike of the large, double-circle "chungking l.p.o. shanghai agency" dated 1896 (8 Jan.) with London S.W. arrival c.d.s. (17.2); the flap embossed with two Chinese characters of Archibald Little. A fine and delightful cover, the large, Shanghai Agency datestamp being applied in Shanghai. Pays 2ca. to Shanghai plus 6ca. international rate. Photo

1895年12月21日重慶寄倫敦破剖封, 貼橙色銀捌分票, 銷長方框型中英文日戳, 經上海法國客郵局時於另一端貼25仙法國"CHINE"客郵票, 銷1896年1月8日上海法國客郵局日戳, 旁多蓋一枚相同的客郵戳及紅色的中轉日戳. 封背蓋1896年1月8日重慶信局上海代辦所的雙圈大圓戳, 2月17日英國倫敦到達日戳, 信舌上印有"立德"中文記號, 此為"Archibald J. Little"的中文代表名稱, 重慶票郵資中, 二分為平郵至上海郵費, 六分為寄國外郵費; 因為蓋有重慶信局上海代辦所郵戳, 使得此信封極具吸引力._x000D_ _x000D_ 源流: 2000年11月Beckeman Collection.
