Combination with Shanghai Local Post: 1896 (22 July) a commercial envelope to Shanghai bearing 2ca. rose-red tied by Chungking boxed datestamp in purple and a light strike of Shanghai boxed "PAID" type P3A in red with Shanghai courier post handstamp below and on the reverse, the back also shows the Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. (6.8) and postman's pencil notation. A charming cover displaying a rare combination of markings. Thought to be the only third issue cover used in combination with the Shanghai Paid handstamp. A highly desirable item for any collector of the Shanghai postal system. Photo
