Delhi Durbar 1911 (Sub: Chanda 42nd Deoli Regt. Dec: 1911), engraved in upright capitals, very fine

Chanda entered the service of the 42nd Deoli Regiment in October 1892 and was appointed Subadar in June 1910. He was one of just 16 men of his regiment upon the 1911 Durbar Roll and was subsequently promoted Subadar-Major. Chanda saw further active service in Aden during 1902-04 and added a 'mention' (London Gazette 27 August 1916, refers) to go with his Order of British India; sold with copied research and roll extracts.
