10fr. on 1fr.50c. blue, two examples, on 23 August large registered envelope to Paris, uprated with "Blanc" 5c., "Semeuse Camée" 25c. & 40c., and "Berthelot" 90c., all tied by "new-york au havre/d" octagonal datestamp, with six-line catapult cachet and registration label with New York-Havre lineal cachet alongside; cover slightly reduced at right. A very rare multiple franking of the scarcer value of this issue, paying the double rate up to 20 grams, and of notable significance, apparently used without philatelic purposes.
