1928 "Ile de France" Issue
10fr. on 90c. red and 10fr. on 1fr.50c. blue, both examples featuring spaced surcharge, used in conjunction with "American Legion" 90c. on 23 August registered envelope to Le Havre, tied by "new-york au havre/d" octagonal datestamps, showing six-line cachet of the "Ile-de-France" catapult flights at left also tying the "Pasteur" value, being signed by the pilot Demougeot below, alongside with "R" marking and the matching "new-york au havre d" straight line. The only "Ile de France" cover recorded exhibiting both values with the "spaced surcharge" variety. Calves (1997) and Caffaz (1994) certificates. Spink Maury 3b, 4a. Photo
