The first printing of 10,000 was placed on sale on 15 December 1884. for correspondence within the Straits Settlements and the Protected Native States, and could be addressed to Johore.
1895 (17 Apr.) 1c. green card to Bombay, cancelled by Singapore c.d.s., with Tuticorin transit (25.4) and Bombay arrival (28.4) c.d.s on front. Printed messages on back: Acknowledge of Receipt from the Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China, sent at 1c printed matter rate effective 1 January 1892.
