The 4c. brown cards were surcharged locally. Reportedly there were 750 cards with small letters and 500 with large letters produced, however, very few used examples are recorded
1892 (22 Sept.) 3c. on 4c. reddish brown card to Switzerland, cancelled by Penang c.d.s., with St. Gallen (16.10) transit on front, and Wallenstadt (17.10) arrival c.d.s. on reverse. Late usage, very fine. Photo
