Town Postmarks
Brooketon: 1895-1906 a collection of postmarks on stamps of Sarawak which includes on 1888-97 2c. (2), 8c. and 10c.; 1895 values (5); 1899 2c. on 3c. and 4c. on 8c. (blunt corner); 1899-1908 with values to 50c. with pairs of 2c. (2), some on piece and on stamps of Labuan (2). Condition is a little mixed in places, a remarkable assembly. (38)

Later changed its name to Muara, this town was named after Rajah Brooke who owned the coal mining enclave and built the settlement. Control was transferred from the Sarawak Post Offcie to the Brunei Post Office in February 1907
