1793 (27 Aug.) double weight entire letter from Charlotte Town to Glasgow, rated "2/1" (deleted) and "3/9" and showing fine unframed "halifax/ship-lre/sep 9/93" datestamp (crossed by vertical filing fold), circular-framed "glas/gow" and with arrival datestamp (4.11) on reverse. Rare and one of the earliest recorded Packet Letters from Isle St. Jean. Photo

Note: This was probably carried on the "Queen Charlotte" that depart Halifax on 13 October and arrived 1 November as there was no Packet in September
