1870 (28 Dec.) tiny flimsy to Chateauneuf sur Charante franked Empire 20c. (necessarily affixed slightly overlapping the edge) with Paris "15" Star cancellation and R. Bonaparte d.s. alongside, carried on the "Bayard" (the last mail carrying Balloon to leave Paris during the Siege), arrival (31.12) on reverse. Offered with Boule de Moulins envelope, endorsed Moulins, dated 31 Dec. 1870 from Chateau sur Charente to Paris, stamp floated off, with blue framed "p.p."; minor perimeter faults but a fine pair of covers.
