1840-1900 mostly used collection housed in two red albums contained in a carton, including 1840 1d. (7, with one on entire letter dated 19 May 1840, another on piece with framed "paid/1d. Extra" alongside) 2d. (2, one on part entire), 1841 1d. with reconstruction, blocks of four, eight and ten, strips of four, five (2), six (2) and seven, set of numbers in Maltese Cross cancellations, Handsworth "PyP/No.15" on piece, pair on cover with rare "scourie" on reverse, 1841 2d. with strip of three on entire with Maltese Cross cancellation, irregular block of ten, 1864-79 1d. plate 220 mint block of thirty, plate 225, unusual cancellations, 1858-76 2d. with plate 9 reconstruction, all with Scottish cancellations, 1870 ½d. plate 9, 1847-54 embossed 1/-, 10d., 6d. (4 with two on cover to the United States), a good range of surface printed issues with 1862-64 9d., 1/-, 1867-80 2/- brown, 1867-83 watermark Cross 10/-, 1883-84 white paper 10/- (2), 1884 watermark Crown £1 brown-lilac, 1887-92 £1 green., etc., condition a little mixed in places but generally good to fine and an exceptional lot
