Shanghai - Tihwa Line - Resumption of Flights
1933 (14 Dec.) opened-out red band cover to Kweisui bearing 1924-36 3c. and 6c., provisional air mail 10c. plus second air set 30c. and 60c. tied by Tihwa (Urumtsi) c.d.s. with Peiping (24.6) and Kweisui arrival (26.6). With Provincial censor seal type 6. This cover was accepted at Tihwa post office, hoping the flights would resume, but there were no further flights due to the Kumui Rebellion in Sinkiang. The cover was carried overland to Lanchow to catch one of the flights which were still available there. This cover taking six months for delivery. Lu 175. Photo
