1929 (24 May) envelope addressed to Drs Haude and Ambolt in Urumchi bearing, on the reverse, pair of 1916-19 3c. (with top margin imprint) tied by Tzenichuan Chinese c.d.s. with Tihwa arrival alongside and Provincial censor seal type 5. There is a manuscript note on the reverse which reads, "My man, Ting, is sent by Pai, the collector, to Urumchi to buy things. Please give him enough money and let him give you and me each one account for the expenses P.L. Yuan". A fine cover relating to the Sven Hedin expedition. Photo
