Crafted by Philip Nathan, coin and medal designer, on behalf of the Artists' Benevolent Institution Fund in 1988, his imagined scenery relates to the historic uplands and downlands of the Weald of Kent, known in early history as 'Anderida'. With an intended issue of 500 pieces, it is thought that only around 20 were actually produced.

Other notable works of this artist include the Britannia gold and silver bullion coin design of 1987 to date.
