France & Colonies old-time collection, mounted on old-time pages of European origin, Alaouites through Zanzibar, as well as general French Colonies issues, well-annotated and identified, mint and used, with some duplication from 1870s through to 1940s, nineteenth century imperforates being of better-than-average quality, with many with four large margins and neatly-struck postmarks, good representation with many key values included, many of the Navigation & Commerce examples with 1fr and greater values, with some present as both mint and used examples, the 1930s/40s issues with some significantly duplicate used examples, noting some attractive used pairs and multiples, a lovely assembly of good quality, worthy of close inspection, and a solid beginning to a significant collection of this field.
