Puerto Rico Quarantine letter to Massachusetts, stampless folded letter, with contents regarding a shipment of molasses and tobacco, datelined Ponce, Puerto Rico, 1835, carried by Captain Pope of the Brig "Bud," rated "8" in manuscript, red "Ship" and "Quarantine" straight-line handstamps, held in Boston with red "Boston Ms Jun 23" c.d.s. before being carried on to Salem, Massachusetts, a nice example of this difficult marking.
