1897 De La Rue Appendix sheet dated "April 23rd. 1897." bearing three imperforate colour trials, of 15c. grey and black, 1r. red and black and 2r. green and black, marked " appd. ER/ 27-4-97", the revised colour shceme issued 1897, accompanied by a copy of the requisition which ordered the stamps, with printing quantities for all values 15c. to 2r., the letter stating "You will notice that the colours of the 15 cents, + one + two Rupee stamps are to be changed..." A unique archival record, particularly desirable with the detailed correspondence. Photo.
