1857 (22 Dec.) envelope from Amherst to Heilgenbeil, bearing "registered" 1/-, Woodblock 6d. (2) and Emblem 2d., all tied by Barred Numeral "68", showing various manuscript rate marks, "Crown/registered", oval-framed "p." and framed "Recommandirt", all in red, with despatch, Melbourne, London and Aachen datestamps on reverse; the envelope a little soiled and stained, nevertheless a rare franking and one of three covers known to Prussia bearing the Registered stamp.
