1921 Christmas card with the embossed feathers of the Prince of Wales in silver, H.M.S RENOWN on the outer cover and a real photograph inside of the ship at sea, sent by the Prince of Wales while on the Royal Tour to India, 1921 - 1922, inscribed in ink, ""For my own precious darling beloved Fredie" (printed : With all good wished for Christmas and the New Year) "1922 and all her devoted & adoring David's great great love". Crosses surround the photograph of the ship; with an envelope, not postally used, addressed by the Prince to "Mrs Dudley Ward / 62, Portland Place, London W2" sealed by a wax seal depicting a spider that was used by him on all his letters to Mrs Dudley Ward. 4 ½ x3 ½ inches not opened out.
