1707 (16 August) letter from Robert Harley, "To all Governors, Mayors, Sheriffs, Justices of the Peace, Constables and all others whom it may concern, Greetings. These are in He Majtys Name to will and require you to permit and suffer the bearer Mr John Clark & Thomas Smith his servant with their goods and necessarys freely and quickly to go hence to Deal, and to return without Lett, Hindrance or Molestation whatsoever. This pass to remain in force for three weeks and no longer. Given at Whitehall the sixteenth day of August 1707", signed "Ro Harley" with wafer seal and two albino embossed tax 6d. stamps.
