1587 (5 May) letter on laid paper "To my Lovinge frend Mr Robart Peter of the Receipt"; he is requesting to make an order for payments from the list on names suppled which includes the Earl of Essex (£167), Sir Henry Bagnall (£118), Earl of Kildare (£100) and others totaling £1599 0s 6d and concluding with a strong signature "W Burghley". Two repairs where the wax seal has been removed, otherwise fine. Photo
