A selection of die proofs in black on glazed card, comprising the head with lined background and uncleared surround, 94x62mm. marked "Die punch", "before hardening" and dated "13 mar 91", head with solid circular sound, 94x62mm. marked "Punch die-soft" an "The punch of this was made by striking from the lined ground & stoning out", dated "21 jul 91", three complete impressions showing differing designs behind the head (clear, partly shaded and solid), 55-65x39-42mm. and dated in 1907, and two stamp-size, one of the head only with lined background, the of the complete design and affixed to day book piece.
