Leonard Edward Abdullah was born in Cardiff on 11 December 1932. His father was Turkish and by 1939 Leonard was living with his mother, Marjorie Abdullah (née Price), who worked as a 'Fish Fryer', in 250 Bute Street, Cardiff. Leonard Abdullah died in Cardiff in 1972.
