British War and Victory Medals (Lieut. G. A. A. Baker), together with his wife's B.R.C.S. proficiency badge, gilt and enamel, the reverse inscribed '39150 E. F. Baker', good very fine (3)

Geoffrey Alwyne Arkendale Baker was born in Richmond, Yorkshire on 22 September 1891 and was educated at Durham School and Keble College, Oxford.

Enlisting in the 2nd Dragoon Guards in September 1914, aged 22 years, he was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the Denbighshire Hussars Yeomanry in March 1915 and arrived in France in October 1917, on attachment to the Machine Gun Corps; sold with a newspaper cutting and copied research.
