A Blenheim Observer's casualty's group of three awarded to Sergeant K. R. Bryant, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who was killed in action during a sortie carried out by No. 18 Squadron against Haamstede airfield in August 1940

Kenneth Roy Bryant was killed in action on 2 August 1940, when his Blenheim IV - L 9442 of No. 18 Squadron - was jumped by 109s of 11/JG34 over Haamstede airfield in Holland: his aircraft was last seen emitting smoke before disappearing in cloud.
The son of Thomas Benjamin and Elizabeth Martha Bryant of Bromley, Kent, he was 21 years old and is buried in Bergen-Op-Zoom Cemetery. His fellow crew members, Sergeants J. H. Davies and W. S.
