Clarence Arthur Goold entered the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve in November 1915 and was rated as a Motor Mechanic in June 1916, whilst serving in H.M.S. Hermione, the depot ship for Motor Launches and Coastal Motor Boats. From October 1916 until April 1918, he served in M.L. 358 as a Chief Motor Mechanic and he was demobilised in February 1919; sold with copied service record
