(x) Naval General Service 1915-62, 1 clasp, Persian Gulf 1909-14 (218915 A. H. C. Kemsley. Lg. Sig. H.M.S. Dartmouth), very fine

Albert Harry Charles Kemsley was born in Croydon, Surrey in June 1886 and joined the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class in 1902. His service record notes him as 'run' (deserted) in 1905 but he clearly returned to the fold and served in H.M.S. Dartmouth in the period September 1913-July 1915; he removed to the St. George in August 1915.
