India - Bhopal extensive "speculative issues" specialized collection neatly mounted and written-up on quadrilled pages in a binder, mostly unused, but also some used or favor cancelled, with many hundreds of items including singles, blocks, full sheets, spelling errors and plate reconstructions, with issues of 1872-96, 1884-1901 and 1902-03 all very well represented; according to Stanley Gibbons catalog some of the earlier stamps remained on sale, and probably still in use, after the issue of 1902, and some of these were afterwards put on sale with the new form of embossing; fresh plates were made for some of the old designs, in imitation of the earlier issues and impressions of these were also sold with the new embossed device; a fascinating lot which really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated.
