1941 Italian Occupation of Continental Greece, August 22 censored postcard sent to Leghorn and dated onboard an Italian battleship in the Port of Piraeus, franked with Italian Dodecanese 20c, exceptionally used and accepted in Continental Greece as the sender was a sailor of a battleship previously stationed in the Dodecanese, tied by "Mariser-Pireo/Sede sprovvista di francobolli" handstamp denoting that no stamps were available and used by the Italians in The Piraeus; a very rare usage.
