"Paid/At/Barbadoes" crowned circle, boldly handstamped on April 27, 1850 envelope to Philadelphia, rated at 1 shilling, charged with 10 centimes for over 300 miles as denoted by corresponding Boston datestamp, forwarded via St. Thomas and following embarkation on the "Clyde", then in Bermuda transferred to the Cunard "Ospray", changing to the Cunard "Hibernia" at Halifax heading for Boston: (S.G. CC1, £475).
