1912 (3 Mar.) envelope to New Zealand, bearing Victoria Land 1d. tied by "brit. antarctic expd" c.d.s., showing fine "loose ship's letter/posted in/antarctica/s.y. aurora/a.a.e." circular cachet, signature of J.K. Davis with "commander of ship" h.s. below, the envelope then travelled to Hobart where a Pictorial 1d. was applied and cancelled (17.3.13); also 1913 authenticating document signed by J.I. Kinsey, representative of the British Antarctic Expedition in Christchurch, relating to this envelope. Photo
