1911 (15 Apr.) envelope from Invercargill, addressed locally and re-addressed to Macquarie Island via Hobart in red ink, showing fine "loose ship's letter/posted at/macquarie island/s.y. aurora/a.a.e." circular cachet; the envelope a little ragged at top through opening. Stated by the owner to be the only known cover on the outward journey to Macquarie Island. Photo
