185? mourning envelope addressed to an Officer in the 12th Foot, Sydney, franked at the soldier's concessionary rate with 1857-67 1d. brick-red (cut-into) clearly cancelled by "62" obliterator and showing, on reverse, "ship letter/sydney" c.d.s.; the 1d. has been lifted and partly stuck back, and the envelope is a little soiled.
