Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Suffolk
1615 (21 January) a scribal document regarding the petition by Edmund Lord Sheffield about payments rendered in duplicate with four autograph lines at foot, "If Mr Bingley do fynde that the above said 20 £ was duble paid ... then lett an order be drawne for repayment of 20 £ according to equity", dated and signed, "Suffolke". There is some marking along the vertical fold lines and minor edge defect at foot. Photo

Admiral Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Suffolk, KG PC (1561 – 1626) was a son of Thomas Howard, 4th Duke of Norfolk by his second wife Margaret Audley, Duchess of Norfolk, the daughter and heiress of the 1st Baron Audley of Walden.
