1878 envelope to France, bearing 1876 2d. blue (2, one bisected diagonally) and 6d. orange, all clearly tied by "556" in oval of bars, showing red crayon "1" and "6½", "paid liverpool/br. packet" (10.1), London Paid and Calais datestamps, with arrival c.d.s. on reverse; some reduced tone spotting, nevertheless a spectacular and rare bisect franking.
