1877 (9 June) envelope registered to Dundee, bearing 1876 1d. blue (4) and 6d. orange, each cancelled with "556" in oval of bars, showing red crayon "1" and "5", crisply struck "paid-at-cape-coast-castle" c.d.s., "paid/liverpool/br. packet" and "registered/liverpool" d.s. (both 1.7), neat boxed "registered" handstamp and, on reverse, Dundee arrival d.s. (2.7). Very fine with lovely clear strikes. Photo.
