1878 (6 July) small ladies envelope registered from Lydenburg to Boshof, bearing 1878 V.R. Transvaal Type 7 overprint imperforate 6d. indistinctly cancelled, showing despatch datestamp and registered handstamp, censored at left and with the tape cancelled by Postmaster General's Office oval datestamp and with with framed "1ste publicatie" handstamp on reverse, registration fee not apparent and possibly paid in cash; repaired at upper right and portions of reverse missing, nevertheless a fascinating and most unusual franking.
