Carriacou: 1836 (18 June) entire letter to Chester from J.C. Shapley, the rector of Carriacou, to Thomas Tarleton, the owner of the Mount Pleasant Estate, suggesting that all the children on the estate should be given religious instruction and asking for " ... some old building to be found, of which little or no use is made, & which might be easily fitted up as a school room ...". The flap (which opens well for display) bears a part strike of the first type, open circle Grenada c.d.s., the cover bears ""2/2"" and "2/3" rate marks and a good strike of the boxed "Chester/Penny Post" handstamp. Notation indicates this was delivered on 2nd August. Clean and attractive
