maritime and military mail: an early to modern accumulation, contained in a carton, including Military WWI with 1915 envelope with boxed unable to trace/army post office/expeditionary force handstamp in violet, "Khaki" Prisoners' of War Fund newspaper wrapper, British Red Cross and Order of St. John envelopes (4) with various cancels; WWII with 1939 censored letter (no contents) addressed to Armenia bearing printed label "returned to sender/by the censor/for reason explained in/memorandum enclosed/in this cover" in green, selected airletters, active service printed envelopes, Internment Camp mail for the Isle of Man (12) cachets, Red Cross Postal Message scheme (14), Red Cross & St. John War Organisation newspaper wrapper and Guernsey Red Cross notices (3, one in German), post war On Active Service mail and postcards (6) bearing various Camp postmarks; Maritime with 1912 (c.) Titanic picture postcard unused, a good range of wartime dumb cancels. A very interesting lot worthy of careful inspection. (hundreds)
