South Sea Company, manuscript stock transfer order for £631.5.0 of stock, [1723], addressed to Mr Charles Lockyer, an officer of the South Sea Company (transcription attached), signed by Lord Cadogan. William Cadogan, 1st Earl Cadogan KT PC (1675 – 17 July 1726) was a noted military officer in the army of the Duke of Marlborough during the War of the Spanish Succession. Governor of the Isle of Wight (1715–1726) and Master-General of the Ordnance (1722–1725). Some spotting, trimmed, very fine.
