This paper mill goes back until 1790. In 1859, Karl Kranz, from Augsburg, bought the mill and developed it into one of the most important producers in the Monarchy. In 1913, it became a stock company. In 1933, there was a capital reduction from 2.1 million Schilling to 100'000 Schilling. Since 1939, it has been part of Arland.
