(x) Edward IV (first reign, 1461-1470), light coinage 1464-70, Ryal, 7.61g, Bristol mint, m.m. crown on reverse, edward di gra rex angl z franc dns i b, king standing facing in ship, holding sword and shield, b in waves below, rev. ihc avtem transiens per medivm illorvm ibat, crowned sunburst, rose in center, small trefoils in spandrels (Schneider 419; N.1550; S.1954), lustrous with crisp strike on a round flan, not quite full, legends and the king’s facial features especially well detailed, about extremely fine, rare, NGC graded MS-63
