Small Two Cent Surcharge Errors
2c. on 3c. red variety surcharge double, inverted [11-12] rejoined pair, part original gum; hinge remainders; a couple of patches of dry gum and there is a tiny thin spot. Strong colour and bright paper colour, showing the centring associated with the left side of this sheet. A highly desirable and important multiple, the only recorded pair of this variety. Only eleven examples have been recorded of this error from the original setting of twenty. S.G. 93c, £400,000; Chan 84r
