1883 (23 Feb.) opened-out envelope to New York "Via Japan" bearing, on the reverse, wide margin 3ca. red [13] tied by blue Peking seal with the despatch c.d.s. alongside, faint Tientsin (6.3) and Shanghai (11.3) with New York arrival duplex (21.4); the address side with Japan Koban 5s. brown cancelled by cork crossroads obliterator with "i.j.postal agency/shanghai" (14.3) and Yokohama thimble (22.3) c.d.s.


Good to fine with the 3ca. paying the internal rate with the Japanese stamp applied before departure
