1917-30 Massive telegraph period used collection/accumulation of well over 5,500 used stamps in singles, pairs and blocks of various sizes, showing the various telegraph cancels used, these are the issues that were remaindered and pressed into service for telegraph use after the classic issues were retired from postal service in 1907, as well as the continued reprinting of the various values in the late settings in the telegraph period, includes the 1a Blue with recut frame which contains three singles of the 1a Blue green error of color ( emerald; S.G. #26b, one with 1984 Hellrigl certificate), also the plate II 1a Blue of a new design, there are numerous ½a Black singles and multiples including 185 tete-beche pairs as pairs or in larger multiples, the 2a value is particularly interesting being collected by the various and numerous shades that this value was printed in this period, plus 4a Green including blocks and the 1a Blue plate II with multiples as large as a full sheet, several features make this collection desirable, the collection is generally collected by the numerous shades as listed in Hellrigl, there are over 700 tete-beche pairs of the different values and throughout plating is done showing numerous plate flaws that exist in the various settings, there are some pin-perforated throughout that are not counted as the stamps in this period were not normally issued perforated, condition varies but the vast majority are fine- very fine; this is an important and valuable collection to be mined for varieties and shades; examination is recommended to appreciate the scope of the material contained herein (Scott #10/25A; S.G.#34/42; well in excess of £130,000).
