Hellrigl #35, 1917-1930 1a Blue with recut frame on native paper, imperforate, setting 27, state 2, now in the later telegraph period with heavy undefined impressions, top margin unused block of four, without gum as issued, strong color and fresh thin paper, huge selvage at top and large full margins on the other three sides, very fine and choice, Hellrigl notes that nearly all of the second state of setting 27 are telegraphically used and that except for a few singles and pairs this state is apparently unknown in mint condition, this block and the next lot establish that a very few mint multiples do exist but are extremely rare (Scott #23 var.; S.G. #26 var.; catalog values are for the earlier printings and do not apply).
