Hellrigl #21, 1898-1903 2a (Dull) violet on native paper of poor quality, pin-perforated, complete sheet of 56, setting 13, unused without gum as issued, possessing full wide salvages showing a new format in the inscription and frame lines, the plate was completely overhauled at this time removing all the inverted cliches and in the process eliminating eight cliches, including the ragged cliche, so the sheet has 56 stamps (8x7) instead of 64, color is attractive and fresh with an excellent impression, very fine; this is an extremely rare and especially important sheet historically; it is the unique only known complete sheet of this setting; furthermore this sheet is almost certainly the sheet Major Evans received from Nepal in March 1899 and possessing contemporaneous manuscript at the bottom of the sheet stating, "...printed about the end of Jan.1899" which a key element in the dating of the Two Annas value; an exhibition piece of great importance; (Scott #19; $5,050.00+; S.G. #20; £5,050+).
