Hellrigl #18d, e, 1998-1907 4a Emerald on native paper of poor quality, imperforate, complete sheet of 64, setting 11, first state, unused without gum as issued, a handsome sheet with wide full selvages now showing no inscription or frame lines, position 54 is inverted plus other plate flaws, this is from the early state and has fairly clear impressions plus a bright emerald color which is scarce in this 1901-1907 period , usual vertical and horizontal folds in the center mostly between rows, fresh and very fine; several mint sheets are known in this first state in dark green which are rare, this emerald shade may be unique; (Scott #17, a; $4,690.00+; S.G. #17, a; £4,690+).
